Children will work with real glass to create a variety of projects in a fun and friendly environment. Properties of glass and how it is made will be discussed.

Three Tuesdays: August 3, 10, 17 - 9:30 am - noon

In this class for pre-teens ages 6-11, children will work on four major projects one per week.

• Using a variety of colorful pre-cut transparent glass shapes, students will design two glass pojects that will be fused in our glass kiln and ready to hang.
• Using pre-cut opalescent glass pieces, students will learn the indirect method of mosaic by creating a cement stepping stone.
• Using mirror glass, students will create a mosaic wall hanging.
• Using a variety of glass shapes and wire, students will build wind chimes.
• Safety regarding the handling of glass will be an integral part of the class.
• Class size limited to 6 participants
