Building Clay Forms With Slabs: Vases and Vessels
Want to work with clay but not interested in the pottery wheel? This is the third in a our series of classes that use clay slabs to build vessels.
Join instructor Cray Charlebois for a 4-week clay slab building class. This project-based class will focus on using slabs of clay to build a variety of vases and vessels to make as gifts or keep for yourself! Each class builds on the other, so it is important to attend all sessions. Surface patterns will also be explored, as well as embellishments such as handles, knobs and feet. No experience is needed. A session for glazing of work is included. All clay and tools are provided. This class is suitable for ages 13 and up. Home schoolers are welcome!
Registration includes all materials you will need for class, one bisque firing and one glaze firing. Classes are limited to 6 students, ensuring a high level of individual attention, and are reserved on a first-paid basis. Sorry, we cannot refund money once you have started the classes. In the event the class is cancelled, your payment will be refunded.
