Perfect beginners wheel class that includes demonstration and hands-on instruction.

In the six sessions, Amy will cover centering on the wheel and basic throwing techniques: how to make cups, bowls and other vessels, how to alter thrown pieces, and make and attach handles. Those with some experience will also benefit from review of techniques. This is strictly a pottery wheel class. Slab work will not be explored in this class. We feel it takes several sessions to grasp the art of throwing and centering. After session 5, all pots will be bisque fired. The sixth session will cover basic glazing of your pots and work will be glaze fired.

Registration includes all materials you will need for class, one bisque firing and one glaze firing. Classes are limited to 6 students, ensuring a high level of individual attention, and are reserved on a first-paid basis. If you cancel 2 weeks before start of class, we will issue a full refund. If you cancel the week before class starts up until the day before, we will issue a refund IF WE CAN FILL YOUR SPACE. In the event the class is cancelled before starting, your payment will be refunded.
