Family Clay Christmas Ornament Workshop

Christmas is coming and we know many of you like to get started early with Christmas decorating and gifts! These ceramic ornaments will pop on any tree, and make wonderful gift box/bag toppers! This workshop is designed for ALL ages, but most especially for children with their families looking to do a fun project together. Children under 14 may take the workshop with a family member at a discounted rate. Both parents and children will receive all the materials necessary to make as many ornaments as they like during the 2 hour workshop! (All adults attending with their child must register and pay as well. Cost is $20 per child under 14, and $40 per adult/children ages 14 and up. Under the guidance of Artist Mandy Sirofchuck, you'll learn the basics of working with clay slabs as you make a set of clay Christmas ornaments using cookie cutters, in perfect timing for the holiday season! She'll help you learn the slab technique, form your ornaments, and work with underglazes to embellish them with Christmas designs. After they dry, we'll bisque-fire them for you and then glaze-fire them, and let you know via email when they're available for pickup. You WILL get messy, so bring an apron or wear work clothes and closed shoes that can get dirty, and leave your rings and fine jewelry at home. We have space for up to 10 participants in this class.

Please Note:

• Tuition is due with registration unless other arrangements are made. If you cancel 0-7 days before the class start date, we are able to refund your tuition ONLY if we can fill your space from our waitlist. We are not able to issue partial refunds or transfer your registration to another class. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we cannot under ANY circumstances refund your tuition once you have started the classes.
• Art is a messy business! Please bring an apron or wear work clothes and shoes that can get dirty with clay/paint/etc.
• Leave your rings, smartwatches, and jewelry at home. Main Exhibit Gallery & Art Center is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
  
• We ask that you pick up your projects within 2 weeks of your notification that they're ready. We have so many classes that our space can get quite full with students' work! Any pots left behind after 2 weeks without prior arrangements will be added to our "Adopt a Pot" shelf in our main gallery space.
