Handbuilt Highland Cow

We think highland cows are simply adorable, and are excited to offer this NEW workshop where you'll have a chance to create your own (1) out of clay. Instructor Yvette Tobias, a local potter, will cover the basics of working with clay slabs, coils, and extruders. You'll also have the opportunity to add some colorful underglazes/stroke n' coat embellishments to your cow prior to firing. The clay fires to a rich earthy brown. After the bisque firing, we'll dip your project in a clear gloss glaze and complete one more glaze firing. Projects are typically ready within 2 weeks of the class date.

This workshop is for adults ages 14 and older, and great for beginners! Those with some experience will have a great time, too. Take it solo or come with a friend for added fun! We have space for 8 participants in this workshop. (You'll be notified via EMAIL when your piece is ready to pick up. Be sure to check your inbox & spam folder!)

Please Note:

• Tuition is due with registration unless other arrangements are made. If you cancel 0-7 days before the class start date, we are able to refund your tuition ONLY if we can fill your space from our waitlist. We are not able to issue partial refunds or transfer your registration to another class. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we cannot under ANY circumstances refund your tuition once you have started the classes.
• Art is a messy business! Please bring an apron or wear work clothes and shoes that can get dirty with clay/paint/etc.
• Leave your rings, smartwatches, and jewelry at home. Main Exhibit Gallery & Art Center is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
  
• We ask that you pick up your projects within 2 weeks of your notification that they're ready. We have so many classes that our space can get quite full with students' work! Any pots left behind after 2 weeks without prior arrangements will be added to our "Adopt a Pot" shelf in our main gallery space.
