Fused Glass Leaf Suncatcher

Learn the art of cutting glass and working with glass frit by making this delightful fused glass Autumn Leaf Suncatcher, about 6" long, just in time for Fall. You have the option of creating either a maple or an oak leaf (please specify when you register). Instructor Mandy Sirofchuck will go over working with a pattern and safely handling and cutting glass. Your project will be "fused" in our glass kiln, meaning there is no use of metals or soldering in this class, and is typically ready to pick up within 2 days. It's perfect for beginners, or those with some experience looking for a fun project to do with other like-minded, creative people!

You will have use of all tools and materials needed for the project. Just bring yourself! You'll also:

• learn about tools used in stained glass
• learn how to cut glass using practice glass (provided). Most pieces in this class will require cutting curves. We will show you how to do this to minimize glass wastage
• cut glass to a pattern
• work with glass frit

Class size is limited to 6 people, ages 14 and older, ensuring a high level of attention. We require 3 to run the class. Please wear closed-toed shoes for class. Please bring eye protection (goggles) if you do not wear glasses. We have eye protection if you do not have your own.

Please Note:

• Tuition is due with registration unless other arrangements are made. If you cancel 0-7 days before the class start date, we are able to refund your tuition ONLY if we can fill your space from our waitlist. We are not able to issue partial refunds or transfer your registration to another class. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we cannot under ANY circumstances refund your tuition once you have started the classes.
• Art is a messy business! Wear work clothes and shoes that can get messy. CLOSED TOE SHOES required when working with glass.
• We ask that you pick up your projects within 1 week of your notification that they're ready unless you make other arrangements.
